Prince George is a suburbanizing county in South Central Virginia … about 37,000 residents. Politics here run deep as in many places, but here there is a quiet, genteel veneer covering the rivalry and the dirty tricks.
This year is an election year for the Board of Supervisors (BOS) and in Prince George all 5 seats are subject to the election. We don’t have staggered terms. It is conceivable, though not likely, that we could begin 2012 with a totally new BOS or possibly and likely that the 5 incumbents will be reelected.
The Prince George Board of Supervisors is composed of five white males, all of whom profess to be “independents” and three of whom have a coalition so that the three Musketeers essentially have a voting bloc.
Will all five return again this year? Will the three return this year?
